Lead Public Health Veterinarian

Dr. Leedom Larson earned her BS in Biology from Truman State University and her DVM from Iowa State University. She worked in an equine practice before completing her MPH and PhD in Agricultural Safety and Health at the University of Iowa. Before joining the CFSPH in 2010, she served as a health and safety consultant for the pork industry. Dr. Leedom Larson leads the Biosecurity in Livestock and Poultry Production continuing education courses and has developed many other online training materials for the CFSPH involving foreign animal diseases, zoonoses, and emergency response.
