Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Other Names: MRSA
Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) is a bacterial disease that is resistant to certain antibiotics and can be transmitted between people and animals during close contact. Disease caused by MRSA primarily involves skin lesions, but it can also cause pneumonia or systemic disease.
