Other Names: Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC), Verotoxin producing Escherichia coli (VTEC), Shiga toxin producing Escherichia coli (STEC)
Enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC) is a subset of pathoenic E. coli found in cattle and sheep that can cause diarrhea or hemorrhagic colitis in humans.
