Veterinarians: Resources for Mobile Clinics

In today’s mobile society, the ability of a disease agent to move from one location to another is greater than ever before. People, equipment, and animals can carry biological agents along with them to new destinations. Mobile veterinarians, by definition, move themselves, their equipment, and/or their facilities from one location to another. To minimize the risk of diseases spreading from these activities, a predetermined plan is required. The information in The Biological Risk Management for the Mobile Veterinarian will provide the basis to develop this plan, including:

  • Managing fomites to minimize disease spread
  • Identifying infectious disease risk areas in your vehicle or mobile clinic
  • Incorporating BRM concepts into daily practice
