Awards

A R13 conference grant to NIAID, NIH was recently submitted and favorably reviewed. Subject to the availability of funds, there will be 12-awards in the following categories. Awards will be given to eligible individuals on a first come, first serve basis. Notifications will be sent in August.

Travel awards for minorities, women, and scientists with disabilities. If NIAID, NIH funds are available, there will be 6-$1000 awards for attendees who are minority scientists, women scientists, or scientists with disabilities.

Training awards for junior investigators. If NIAID, NIH funds are available, there will be 6-$1000 awards for attendees to provide training and cross-training for molecular biologists, infectious diseases specialists, researchers, faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and other non-virulence-based scientists.

To qualify, please check the appropriate boxes on the registration form and provide your gender, race, and /or ethnic origin information to qualify for the travel awards and/or a narrative or proof of eligibility for the training awards
