The “Regulatory Compliance for Commercial Dog Breeders: Introductory Course” provides information about the licensing and regulatory requirements for commercial dog breeders.

The materials describes the pre-licensing process and requirements for maintaining a license under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA), as well as the regulations and best practices in animal care and husbandry for commercial dog facilities.

The materials consist of a series of PowerPoint presentations with speaker notes. These materials were developed by the Center for Food Security and Public Health in collaboration with USDA APHIS Animal Care.
