Introductory Course for Commercial Dog Breeders
This eleven-part course was developed by the Center for Food Security and Public Health in collaboration with USDA APHIS Animal Care to provide information about licensing and regulatory requirements for becoming licensed as a Commercial Dog Breeder by USDA APHIS Animal Care.
The course describes the prelicensing process and requirements for maintaining a license under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) and regulations and best practices in animal care and husbandry for commercial facilities.
