Dr. Bickett-Weddle received a BS degree in Animal Science at South Dakota State University in 1995 and her DVM at Iowa State University in 1999. She practiced as a small animal veterinarian in Sioux Falls, South Dakota before joining Land O' Lakes Farmland Feed as a dairy field nutritionist and technical services manager in February of 2000. In that position, she provided consultation to dairy producers in South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Iowa until November 2002. She received her MPH from the University of Iowa in December 2003 and has been the Associate Director for the Center for Food Security and Public Health since 2004. In 2006 she became a Diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine (ACVPM). Danelle completed her PhD in Veterinary Microbiology with an emphasis in Preventive Medicine at ISU in 2009.

Dr. Dvorak graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Iowa State University in 2001. She earned her BS degree in Zoology (Minor in Fisheries and Wildlife Biology) in 1995 from ISU. She also holds an MS degree in Fisheries Biology Aquaculture from ISU. After graduating from veterinary school, she practiced in a small animal clinic in Indianola, Iowa. Dr. Dvorak received her MPH degree from the University of Iowa, College of Public Health in May 2003 and has been employed as a veterinary specialist at the Center for Food Security and Public Health since then.

The mission of the CFSPH is to increase national preparedness for accidental or intentional introduction of disease agents that threaten food production or public health.
